About Hotel Dazed

This blog shows photographs taken through hotel windows. George Bernard Shaw once said that "the great advantage of a hotel is that it's a refuge from home life". Or alternatively as William Gibson suggests it can be where we simply lose ourselves in "the soulless suction of sequential hotel rooms". Indeed the hotel room can be many things; it may be a refuge from the everyday, or a escape to temporary luxury, or simply something to be endured. Whatever the experience might be, the hotel window is also the frame through which, if you travel on business a lot, you experience the world outside.

A Blurb book will be published shortly with a selection of these photographs, and a Kindle version will also be available. See the links below when these publications become available.

The 23 August 2010 post contains the retrospective collection of photographs taken prior to that date.
